The Islamic Center of Lexington, Kentucky would like to thank all neighbors and friends who showed their support by
visiting, bringing flowers, e-mailing, calling and by making donations. We are thankful to the Almighty God (Allah in
Arabic) for such neighbors and friends. May He give us all the wisdom to accept the tests we are given, the strength to
pass them and to enlighten our hearts with understanding and love for our brothers and sisters in humanity, Ameen.
“No one has to die because of their color, race or religion,” said our Brother, Dr. Jamil Farooqui. “That has
to stop. The only way to stop it is for people to join hands and stop this insanity.”
O people! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord, Who created you from a single being
and created its mate of the same (kind) and spread from these two, many men and
women; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, by Whom you demand one of another
(your rights), and (to) the ties of relationship; surely Allah ever watches over you. (Quran
Chapter 4, Verse 1)
As-salamou alikoum wa rahmatou Allahi wa barakatuh
May the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon you.
We have received many visitors from many religions and we thank everyone for the support we have
received. We are also hoping that this sign of love will transform our day of sadness into a day of hope and
understanding for Muslims, neighbors and friends. Ameen.
Flowers with a note left inside and also outside of the
